Issue 33 of HMRC’s Employer Bulletin has been published.  The full document may be viewed at www.lexisurl.com/emp33 but the main article informs employers that where they have used HMRC’s free Online Return and Forms, any data that relates to a period before 6 April 2006 and all unsubmitted data that has not been updated for 12 months irrespective of when it was created, will be deleted from the system.

 

Should employers wish to keep this data for their purposes (and it is not a legal requirement to do), HMRC recommend that all pre 6 April 2006 information and unsubmitted information currently held on HMRC’s product is reviewed as soon as possible, as employers will no longer be able to access this online.
