The Litigation Support team at Albert Goodman consists of specialists with considerable forensic experience developed over the last decade. Our core service is utilising our accountancy and business expertise to provide pragmatic, technically correct and honest advice. Our team understands the importance of forensic advice to a legal case – it must be founded on a thorough and coherent analysis of the facts and circumstances. A service as good as its individuals Our department’s strength lies in the experience and expertise of our people. Heading up our forensic services, Rod Steele is experienced in personal injury and fatal accidents/dependency, loss of pension benefits, contractual and commercial disputes, consequential loss and ancillary relief. He has appeared in court (including the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board) on a number of occasions, accepts instruction from defendant or claimant and has been appointed Single Joint Expert several times. He is trained in CPR procedures and is a founding member of the Expert Witness Institute. David Griffin is the firm’s Managing Partner and is based in our Taunton office. David is highly experienced in commercial litigation generally and has considerable knowledge of corporate valuations and shareholder dispute resolutions. He also has responsibility for handling issues relating to professional partnerships.
Our other team members include Paul Sargent, a partner in our Corporate Services Department, who specialises in preparing reports on enterprise viability; our Tax Partner Dominic Crilly who offers an array of expert analysis on taxation-related issues; Iain McVicar, the partner who leads our agricultural team and is very experienced in agriculture generally but especially agri-business dispute resolution; Laurence Russell, the Head of Insolvency and specialist in any matters relating to insolvent situations including unexpected insolvency; and our financial services experts Andrew Brown based at our Taunton office and Dave Robinson based in Weston-super-Mare, who provide particular experience in relation to both personal and corporate financial service issues.
